Politically, Denmark is extremely stable. It was one of the first countries to establish a welfare system and the standard of living is regarded as amongst the highest in the world.

Economic Strengths

Low inflation and unemployment. Substantial balance-of-payments surplus. Gas and Oil reserves. Strong high tech. High-profit manufacturing sector. Skilled workforce.

Economic Weaknesses

Heavy tax burden. Capacity constraints limit growth potential. Rising dependency ration.
